Plan to join Meals on Wheels on Wednesday, Jan. 24, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Oregon Convention Center for the Portland International Auto Show’s “Sneak Peek Charity Preview Party”. Guests will experience the magic of the opening ceremonies and enjoy a night of strolling the show floor to see more than 500 production, concept, exotic vehicles and technologies while enjoying hors d’oeuvres from local executive chefs, beverages from Oregon’s top wineries and great entertainment.

Tickets to this exclusive event are $100 each and $90 of each ticket will be donated to Meals on Wheels People and four other local charities. And someone in attendance will win a 2018 Audi Q3 2.0T Quattro!

150th Celebration Kickoff Party, January 29th join the Oregon Humane Society as they kick off a year-long celebration to mark 150 years of saving lives! All day long, Backyard Social will be donating 10% of proceeds to the animals at OHS so stop by for lunch, dinner, or both and enjoy a delicious meal while helping animals in need. Come to this free event  from 6 pm – 8 pm and meet wtih OHS Training & Behavior, Investigations, and Humane Education experts. Enjoy fun raffle prizes. Meet OHS alumni dogs. Pick up your 150th OHS passport.

The Oregon Humane Society is hosting the Diamond Collar Awards, on February 28, 2018, from 11:30 am – 1 pm at the Multnomah Athletic Club (MAC), 1849 SW Salmon St., Portland, OR 97205. The Diamond Collar Awards recognize and honor animals who have acted to save a human or animal life in peril, performed services within the community with undying loyalty, or overcome incredible odds in order o survive. Awards winners can also be humans who have had a positive impact on the lives of animals, exhibiting courage and compassion in the pursuit of animals’ well being.

Do you know an animal who has made a difference in the life of a special needs child or someone with an illness? Do you know a person who has helped animals in some uniques what? The Oregon Humane Society (OHS) is looking to shine the spotlight on animals and animal lovers who are true heroes. April 2018

Meals on Wheels Stride for Seniors Charity Walk, presented by Wisonville Subaru is set for April 22, 2018 at Portland International Raceway! This non-competitive fun walk will have something for the entire family, including entertainment, food, vendor booths and more. Plan to join in the fun and help raise funds to provide nutritious meals to homebound seniors in your community.  PINK DOT PROPERTIES will be forming a team. More information to follow as we get closer to this event.

Registration begins January 20th!

 

 

Once a month Sisters of The Road opens their Cafe space to women-identified people and children only in an ongoing effort to keep their space safe for everyone. Anyone who identifies as a woman including trans women (and children) are given priority on these days by creating a space solely for nurturing women, their voices, and some relaxing pampering. You’re welcome to join them in the space or take a hospitality lunch to-go for male identifying folks or if you’re just on the go. Join us each 1st Friday from 10 am until 2 pm for a relaxing day of massages, manicures and other treats!
